  • 5.8 out of every 100 adults in Connecticut has diabetes, ranking it 37th in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes in the general population.
  • 17.2 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Connecticut are due to diabetes, ranking the state 50th in the nation.
  • In 2005, 167,000 adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 7% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
