- 22.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Georgia are due to diabetes, ranking 36th in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 511,000 Georgia adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 10% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
