- 6.7 out of every 100 adults in Kentucky has diabetes, ranking it 24th in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
- 30.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Kentucky are due to diabetes; ranking the 9th highest state in the nation for the number of diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 261,000 Kentucky adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 10% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
