- 4.6 out of every 100 adults in Minnesota has diabetes, ranking it 51st (including Washington, D.C.) in the nation for the lowest ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
- 25.8 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Minnesota are due to diabetes, ranking Minnesota 29th in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 208,000 Minnesota adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 6% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
