- 6.4 out of every 100 adults in New Jersey has diabetes, ranking it 29th highest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
- 27.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in New Jersey are due to diabetes, ranking New Jersey 15th highest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 475,000 New Jersey adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007, 9% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
