32.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in New Mexico are due to diabetes, ranking New Mexico 4th highest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.

• In 2005, 96,000 New Mexico adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007, 8% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
