- 6.8 out of every 100 adults in New York has diabetes, ranking it 20th highest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
- 19.6 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in New York are due to diabetes, ranking New York 47th lowest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 1,150,000 New York adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007, 8% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
