- 32.1 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Texas are due to diabetes, ranking Texas 5th highest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 1,265,000 Texas adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 10% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
