The South Beach Diet was created by cardiologist Dr. Aruther Agatston.
This diet plan restricts saturated fats, which have been linked to certain health problems including high cholesterol and heart diseases.
This diet states that your cravings for junk food will disappear because the plan helps keep blood sugars stable, however, you are permitted certain foods containing sugar alcohols which can trigger cravings and have a strong laxative effect for some individuals. If you are one, simply avoid eating any of the permitted “treats.”
The South Beach diet works in three separate phases that will help you reduce cravings for certain foods.
